Art making at Alice Project

JJ (also known as James Jack) taught visual arts at Alice Project from December 2002 to February 2003. He taught in both Sarnath schools, the main school in Ghurahoopur and the smaller branch in Jawaharnagar. The children worked on a range of activities spanning from drawing to collage and assemblage. Younger children worked with basic shapes, forms and colors while older students drew from nature and made mandalas.

"I was amazed by the children's joy, devotion and energy throughout these lessons. Hhow they ethusiastically applied themselves to the tasks of visual expression - never taking activities for granted." said JJ.
