Spinning Project of the Alice Project.

Eighteen women and thirty girls are participating in the Spinning Cotton Project of the Alice Project, situated in Sarnath, near the Shiva temple.
This project is mainly for those women and girls whose economical situation is very poor. The Alice Project is providing machines and training for the cotton project. Mahatma Gandhi started these movement years ago.
In the future the women and girls can earn fifteen hundred rupees. This work is done by hand and can be done in their houses.

The Government is providing them accidental life insurance of fifty thousand rupees and their children will also get free education from the government. Under the cotton project of the Alice Project they are getting moral education and vocational training in sewing. At the end of training course, the women will get a diploma which could be useful in the future. If the want, they can continue to work with Alice Project machines in the school or in their house.
