A story about interdependence and unity.
Published January 2001

"... the Ocean was Infinite and nothing existed beyond, behind, above or over Him. He was the One, there was no Other. Then...the infinite Ocean began moving. From this movement Infinite forms took birth… Those forms of course were not real things, nor objects, but were the result of the water dance…"

  Master Lin
"Master Lin is the embodiment of compassion and wisdom… we should look deeply into his teachings to understand our own minds and lives..."
  Conquer with love
"Awareness is the only antidote for anger and other emotions which disturb our mind."
  Four Noble Truths
"To maintain this balance, the wise person must be aware of both of the extremities, like the tight rope walker who uses a pole to help to avoid a fall. How does he manage to walk without ever falling? He constantly keeps his attention on the two extremities of the pole while remaining in equilibrium at the neutral point of balance…"
  Welcome The Strangers
When the protagonist grows to accept the notion of a demon figure, (symbolizing the "darker" aspects of the mind) residing in himself, his surroundings and other people the demon "loses his darkness and looks more happy…" He questions the Wise Rabbit about this, who says: "If your mind is overcome by hate, you will project wars and suffering. If your mind is full of love, you will transform not only yourself, but the whole world."
  Like a Dream
"As I said, they felt happiness and heaven was there. They felt anger and hell appeared! The problem was that each thought was the cause of the next one...It was like an endless spiral of different horrific situations created by he mind..."
The Old Man and The Boy
The Old Man says: "Follow me boy. I will show the way to a wonderful land far away from pain and suffering." "Where is this land?" asked the boy. "It is not far. It's beyond the veil of ignorance…" replies the Old Man.
