Universal Education_ Alice Project is a unique enterprise a research project demonstration the empowerment real education can confer upon our children. Put to test in vastly different cultures and what is the concept behind Universal Education_Alice Project.

It is the idea of unity in any sense of the word: on the level of the individual, the unity of body and mind and the integration of all aspects of our inner world; in terms of society, the transcendence of the borders we artificially create along the lines of gender and religion, family and class, race and nationality. It is the unity which offers the only answer to overcoming the painful divisions which wreak havoc on humanity and cause the individual unspeakable pain and confusion.

The inspiration for Universal Education came from a well known Tibetan master, Lama Yeshe, while the concrete methodology of Alice Project was developed by Italian teachers, most notably Valentino Giacomin and Luigina De Biasi.

After implementing the method in publish schools in Treviso, Italy between 1982 and 1990 Valention Giacoming and Luigina de Biasi, founded their own schools in Sarnath, India in order to find out whether Alice _concepts and their implementation were valid in non- European contexts, too.

Universal Education – Alice Project aims at awakening and nurturing the understanding of oneself fo both the inner and the outer world because this is the knowledge which engenders real happiness and peach. The methods used in Alice Project are geared towards teaching children not only to gain mastery over external reality but moreover to become familiar with and enjoy their internal reality.

They tap into the most powerful potential we possess- the potential to be wise and kind. In the meantime, also a group of teachers in Taiwan have joined the ranks of this exciting research. And thus, the spirit of Alice Project is gradually taking root in three great cultures- Europe, India and China.
