Animal Liberation Project |
The Animal Liberation Project started few years ago, thanks to the inspiration and encouragement of Gose Lama, the president of our Society. Lama is an “expert” on offering freedom and new life to animal that were to be killed.
Since we live near the Gange, the holy river for Hindu and Buddhist, we chose to free fish, after purchasing them from the local market. We use to buy the fish, without prior information that we have intention to buy it. |

Then, Lama bless the boxes with hundredth and hundredth scared fish, offering mantras, prayers, incense, holy pills, blessed rice. After this, the fish is carried, by boat, in the center of the river and gently throw into the water, while the Old lama continues his prayers from the shore.
Then, we dedicate the merits to people who requested prayers from us for long life and to our sponsors. When we have enough money, we add to the fish the liberation of goats or cows.
