She is a good and experienced English teacher. She works with the new teachers of the primary school. She uses the English storybooks for the younger students. The students see the pictures, they listen to the story, and they draw pictures about the story and act out the story in a drama. The children especially liked The Big Red Apple. With these methods the small children do not forget the story and they enjoy it. She also teaches songs. Children love the stories and the songs.
Joan Madam is also teaching English grammar and conversation to some teachers.
Some volunteers have shown real devotion to the school. For instance, Franco Sir is one of them. He is from He is a good plumber, electrician and carpenter. He has made doors, windows, alhmirals and library chairs. He has fixed all of the broken things of the school. He teaches how to work in the garden and to farm. Practically, he knows everything. Valentino Sir uses to say, “Franco is a blessing for this school. We are extremely lucky to have him here!” Once Franco said to the students who were working with him, “In my childhood I had to work in the houses of other people and I don’t want that other children have to pass through the same experience!” He says: “I am here because I would like to give a good future to the students who are studying here. I want to see them happy!” Franco Sir has great devotion and love for Indian children. It is amazing to discover that still there are people like Franco Sir who feel that we are only one family on this Earth. We are thankful and grateful for his services offered to the school.
